Active Addiction continues to grow, especially in the United States, affecting younger populations with various substances and behaviors. Addiction is not a choice but a Biopsychosocial Disease. Once activated, the disease progresses, and those with active addiction seek relief, fueling their addiction with substances and/or behaviors. This presentation will explore the Disease of Addiction and the role Qigong and Tai Chi Practices can play in Addiction Recovery. We will examine Qigong, Tai Chi, and Breath and Meditative Practices that can support individuals in early recovery.
