At the NQA, we recognize the profound impact Qigong and Tai Chi can have on individuals' physical and mental well-being. Our credentialing program, part of the VA Community Care Network, is designed to enable instructors to share their expertise while honoring our nation's veterans in the Tri-West region.
As Qigong and Tai Chi instructors, you possess unique skills that can profoundly benefit veterans on their journey to wellness. Our program provides an opportunity for you to utilize your expertise while earning the recognition and compensation you deserve.
We believe that serving veterans is not just a job—it's a calling. We're honored to stand alongside Qigong and Tai Chi instructors who share our passion for making a meaningful impact in the lives of our nation's heroes. Working with veterans isn't always easy, but it's incredibly rewarding. You may have more contact with your veteran than their doctor, and at times, you may need to be their advocate. Together, let's create a ripple of healing and hope.
Initiate the credentialing process to obtain a national identifier necessary for healthcare providers in the United States.
Enroll in a specialized course via a learning network designed to enhance skills in managing healthcare referrals.
Establish an account that enables healthcare providers to efficiently manage claims and receive payments from various payers, including Tri-West.
Receive ongoing support and guidance for both policy-related issues and interactions with veterans, ensuring continuous assistance beyond the initial setup stages. We offer periodic meetings to answer your questions and provide ongoing guidance.
Our credentialing program is available exclusively to Practitioner and Professional membership levels. Because the VA mandates a minimum of 150 hours of Qigong and Tai Chi Training, only these membership classes are eligible. Additionally, only members who have a place of address in the Tri-West region are eligible for this program.
At the NQA, we're more than just an organization—we're a community of dedicated professionals committed to advancing the field of Qigong and Tai Chi. When you become a member, you join a network of like-minded individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
Explore the benefits of NQA membership and learn how you can take your practice to new heights while serving those who have served our nation. The timeline can vary depending on the individual’s pace and the specific requirements. However, we provide all the resources and support needed to help you complete the process as efficiently as possible.
Working with veterans requires a thoughtful and informed approach due to the unique challenges they may face. While it's natural to feel concerned about navigating this unfamiliar territory, our program is dedicated to providing the necessary resources and guidance to support you in effectively serving veterans. In our program, we recommend courses focusing on Veterans Culture, PTSD, and Psychological First Aid to help you recognize and respond to potential issues, ensuring the well-being of those you serve. While you don't need to be an expert, it's crucial to recognize potential issues and know how to respond appropriately. This is essential for the well-being of the veteran.
If you need assistance or have any questions, you can contact us via email at credentialing@nqa.org or call us at 888-815-1893.
