Shoshanna will guide attendees in learning how to perform “Standing like a Tree” and “Walking Like a Turtle” which are derived from the internal gong fu system of Yi Quan known as the “style of no styles”. These exercises which are known for their simplicity will build internal energetic structure. They will show you how to harmonize yi (mind intent), qi (vital energy) and shen (spirit). The experience of ‘movement within stillness’ and ‘stillness within movement’ guides you toward coming more fully into the moment and allowing your internal energies to flow abundantly throughout your entire being. It empowers you to mend any splits and learn how to more fully integrate your physical and energetic bodies. The practice of Yi Quan also culminates in strengthening your ability to ground yourself and root more deeply into the earth while developing your ‘mind fist’ as you learn to transfer energy between yin and yang. You will come away from this workshop with an enhanced ability to nurture your spirit and stabilize your mind through discovering your natural, innate abilities.
