In this Qi Talk, Cloe will be discussing health and how craniosacral therapeutics, osteopathy and qigong are part of the same path to optimal health and why.
She believes people don’t need to suffer and we can ease that suffering by understanding why these modalities work so well together. In this innovative presentation, Cloe will discuss Osteopathy and craniosacral therapeutics and how they seamlessly intersect to integrate with Qigong. The evolution of this unique approach has bridged two major components of Eastern medicine with Western healthcare and medicine into CranioSacralQigong.
CranioSacralQigong is about a practice for self, first and foremost. At the same time, any healthcare practitioner will greatly benefit from this practice.
In 1997, two pioneers of integrative medicine, Effie P. Chow, Ph.D., a leading figure in Qigong and founder of the World Congress on Qigong, and world-renowned Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger DO, developer of Craniosacral Therapy, promoted Dr. Cloe Couturier DMQ, CO, CSD to present her work at the Second World Congress on Qigong.
Dr. Couturier's journey began as a young Osteopath, driven by a mother's love for her son, Dorian, who had been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an incurable illness. In her quest for guidance to find the best possible help for Dorian, she kept delving into the combined practices of Osteopathy and craniosacral therapeutics with Medical Qigong.
Over three decades, she has continued developing this integration, culminating in her doctorate thesis, which presents the evidence of an evolved health process now known as CranioSacralQigong. A published author, Dr. Couturier book, "CranioSacralQigong Vol.1 Pathways to Consciousness Power,” is available at The Harvard Bookstore, the Qigonginstitute.org, and many other distributors.
It was being recognized for her exceptional contributions with the prestigious title of 'Medical Qigong Master of the Year 2023’ by the 23rd World Congress on Integrative Health: Healing with Peace, that Dr. Cloe Couturier heard the call that the field was ready for CranioSacralQigong.
