As practitioners of Qigong, we are able to heal different aspects of our being. We start with the physical, also known as the Jing. Stretching, moving, breathing and intention improves our physical health and is fairly easy to access.
As we progress into improving the mental/emotional aspect of our being and our Qi, Qigong applications may not be simple or obvious. Our wounds are not superficial or as easy to access as our flesh and bones. Our deeply held beliefs about ourselves and the world may or may not be the truth.
Mental/emotional wounds run deep and may take longer to heal. Heart/Mind Qigong offers us tools to transform our deeply held fears, doubts, grief, anger, impatience, confusion, judgments, insecurities, anxiousness, depression, listlessness, beliefs, and more.
It takes conviction and courage to delve into the emotional/mental realm to heal ourselves. Often this process is overlooked by practitioners and teachers. Many people just don’t want to go there. They don’t feel comfortable with other people’s emotions, or their own, and would rather remain stuck with the familiarity of their old stories.
Breath work and intentional movement of Heart/Mind Qigong can help us to transform, and find the trust, confidence, acceptance, forgiveness, clarity, joy, and peace of mind that we seek.
When we achieve healing and balance in our emotional/mental being, the pathway to Shen, our spiritual nature, is revealed in all its beautiful and loving glory. When we are unencumbered by past traumas and false beliefs, we sense our true spirit and find connection, wisdom and loving who we really are.
