Program Host: Vicki Dello Joio
Diagnosed with facioscapulohumeral (FSHD) Muscular Dystrophy, Frank practices qigong and kung fu daily to combat the disease. Frank will discuss some of the modifications he made to qigong routines, and the approach that he takes when learning new forms. “We need to take a routine that we like, enjoy and take ownership of it. I do it ‘my way’… forget about the ‘right way or wrong way’.” By sharing his approach to developing a personal practice, Frank hopes that others will “find what works” for them, enjoy their practice, and use qigong as a way to help face, fight back and overcome their life challenges.
