Winter Solstice is the most yin point in the yearly cycle of the Earth’s journey around the sun. It marks the shortest day and longest night of the year, inviting an inward, introspective focus. In this gathering, we will connect with the energy of Winter Solstice through gentle, restorative Qigong practices. Embodying and accepting the dark stillness of yin, we will descend into its heart to find there the resting seed of yang. We will nurture, care for and strengthen this seed, receiving the healing benefits of its warmth and light. All practices in this workshop are accessible standing, seated, lying down, or as intentional practice (without physical movement). The session will be recorded, allowing you to revisit the material for 30 days following the event.

Winter Qigong practices focus on the organs of the Water Element: In your body, the water element particularly affects your kidneys, urinary bladder, fluids, spinal cord, bone marrow and brain. During this period, all of nature is in a state of stillness and hibernation. Therefore, it’s the best time of year to conserve your energy and nourish your qi. Qigong practices for winter emphasize stillness and inward reflection, sleeping longer hours, taking nans self-massage and maintaining internal warmth throughout the organs especially in the lower Dantian, which is your internal furnace. ✨ No experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to move gently and connect. ✨ Free and open to all—feel free to invite friends and family! We’re excited to share this calming, grounding space with you. Hope to see you there! To your health, Deirdre, Sheri, Sifu Dan, Maureen, Betty, Deb, Meghan and Mike Register in advance for this meeting: https://taichihealthandwellness.com/

The Mike’s Net class covers the theory and practice of clearing one’s field of foreign energy (FE) and supporting practices for strengthening our personal energy fields.
In our current environments, we are all seeing more evidence of negative energy. Mike’s Net is an effective healing act to dispel negative energy that does not belong in our fields. We can use this healing on ourselves, our families, friends, clients, as well as on businesses or other groups.
During the class, we will cover and review
• how to set a protected and sacred field for clearing FE
• the different types of FE and how FE can enter our fields
• how to recognize when FE has entered or is trying to come in
• lifestyle and Qigong practices to strengthen and cultivate our energy fields and our field’s filter
