What We Do

Our Qigong community works together to create opportunities for people to learn more about Qigong. We develop and distribute introductory materials to the public; our faculty of instructors offers general as well as advanced workshops for students to improve their practice and understanding. We provide easy access to a large number of quality education materials here on our Online Store. We organize an annual National Qigong Conference that takes place in a different area of the country each year. We also sponsor regional conferences organized by local members.

Healing Wave Video Trailer NOW on YouTube.
Check out our new Healing Wave video trailer on YouTube. The Healing Wave Project of the National Qigong Association is intended to introduce the general public to the profound health and healing benefits of Qigong. The Healing Wave "Discovering Qigong' DVD consists of the "Five Treasures Qigong" set which is designed to reduce stress and increase energy.

Reciprocal Associates
In August 2007, the NQA sent an official delegate to the 'Healing with Metal' conference sponsored by our Reciprocal Associate member, Association of Oriental Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA). We participated in group workshops, shared in official events and impromptu gatherings. It was an opportunity to explore our similarities which turn out to be many—especially in the organizational concepts. Pictured here are former AOBTA president, Barbra Esher; current NQA president, Janet Sullivan; current AOBTA president, Maria Spuller; and former NQA president, Roger Jahnke.

The NQA issues QiMail, our bi-annual online newsletter, as well as a bi-annual printed Newsletter, QiFlows. Our Healing Wave Project creates and distributes videos for public viewing, including our popular Discovering Qigong video. Through our association with other Qigong groups, the NQA is also a valuable resource for finding out what's going on—from major events like World Tai Chi and Qigong Day to local community events around the country.

We also have several active Committees including: Membership, Finance, Certification, Healing Wave, Ethics & Integrity, Bylaws, Nominations, Newsletter, Editorial, Events, Regional and Internet... all supported by our hard working volunteers. For information about NQA committee activities and how you may participate with others who share your interest in qigong, e-mail us about your interests.
