Qi-eers,
At our Spring Board Retreat I was pleased that we (the NQA Board) agreed to annually celebrate a Regional Day, just as many of us do for World Tai Chi Qigong Day (WTCQD.) Mirroring WTCQD the last Saturday in April around the world, our Regional Day is set for the first Saturday after Memorial Day, this year Saturday June 5th (an easy way to remember for those ‘old mountains’ among us.) Please mark your calendar.

We in the New York City area will hold ours, as we did last year, in Central Park. Luck was with us then as the weather was superb, site comfortable, some 30 persons, and a professional photographer husband came with his qigong-swinging wife. We hope for the same on June 5th, 2010. We in the greater NY area are lucky that 4 of us are IIQTC grads and communicate occasionally. We will be meeting in NJ at one of our homes to plan this year’s event. We are also highly honored that Vicki Della Joio is considering coming from sunny CA with her Qi aglow. If she can do so, she will conclude our gathering in Central Park (1-3:30) with a spontaneous group movement. Thank you, Vicki.

Perhaps each NQA member, if you are free that day, could do something to honor qigong and the NQA: a tea clutch, a reminder to a class that day, whatever. If you do something, please jot down what happened that day and send it ti NQA Publications to document our momentum. Some ten years ago Bill Douglas began the amazing movement we enjoy today, an inspiring role model.
